Dr. Mario Micovsky

Chiropractor
Golf Performance and Rehab Specialist

Dr. Mario has been a passionate Windsorite for as long as he can remember. As you get to know him that’s something you’ll find at the core of Dr. Mario’s DNA: passion and dedication.

Raised in South Windsor, his fondest memories are playing street hockey with the neighborhood kids, tennis at Central Park, left wing forward for the FC Nationals, and any sport he could get his hands on at Hon. W. C. Kennedy Collegiate Institute.  These days he primarily focuses on cycling, tennis and golf—but enjoys anything requiring movement.

Dr. Mario is a proud Alumnus of the Human Kinetics Movement Science program at the University of Windsor. It was because of his love of sports and persistent array of injuries that he first decided to attend the HK program—and it was thanks to HK and the UofW Co-Op program that he found his passion and calling for chiropractic care and decided to pursue his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Logan University in St. Louis Missouri.

The core of Dr. Mario's care is simple: he takes the time needed to understand and treat your ailments, ensuring that he not only remedies the issue, but that he brings alignment and a feeling of well-being back to your general daily function and movement.

Dr. Derek is a proud Alumnus of the Human Kinetics Movement Science program at the University of Windsor. After graduation he moved to St. Louis, Missouri where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Logan University. He had his first experience with chiropractic at 11 years old after a shoulder injury playing hockey. He was always fascinated with how quickly he was able to get back on the ice, even though he was told it was a season ending injury. His passion for Chiropractic stemmed from that childhood memory and he now shares that same passion for helping others.

Dr. Derek is determined to help his patients become the best versions of themselves and help them get back to doing the things they love in life. He achieves this by using a variety of Chiropractic Techniques including: Diversified, Thompson Pelvic Drop, Extremity Adjusting (Shoulders, Elbows, Wrists, Hips, Knees and Ankles), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and various soft tissue techniques.

Dr. Derek’s main objective as a chiropractor is to address and treat the root cause of his patient’s dysfunction, rather than only treating the pain or symptoms. He values his time with his patients and bases his individualized treatment plan around their specific goals.

If you need to know any short game secrets, he’s your guy!
